Ah, it is so cute when the local paper misses the mark on why the levy failed. The levy failed due to the Coeur d'Alene School District not actually spending money on maintenance and/or hiring employees to take care of maintenance.
Superintendent Hocker says there was misinformation online. Really? Um, it is a statement of fact that the budget for your school district shows you spent money on NOT maintenance.
He also said he doesn't understand why people wouldn't support the levy. Sir, your school district needs have a maintenance levy that is actually only about maintenance.
