Broadband Bill - HB 180

The Bushnell Report

Please consider joining me in emailing the Idaho Senate State Affairs Committee regarding HB 180. In my opinion, this needs a NO vote.

The shortened time frame on approving or not approving permits for cell towers and/or broadband causes undue burden on small city councils who only meet twice a month. Shortening the time frame for approval will make it nearly impossible for small cities to really access applications on their merits.

Additionally, a community should be able to opt out of cell towers coming in if they so choose. This sped up timeframe doesn't seem to allow for adequate time for the public to be able to comment to their elected officials as to what they think.
