"In accordance with Idaho State Code Section 67-6526, the City of Hayden is updating its "Area of Impact" (AI).
According to statute, "An area of impact is where growth and development are expected to occur," and are highly likely to be annexed within five (5) years and generally within two (2) miles of existing city limits.
Hayden will be updating its Area of Impact as shown in the images below.
THERE WILL BE A PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS PROPOSED CHANGE at the May 5th Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, starting at 5:30pm.
In the images below, Map A is the AI as it exists today, and Map B is the AI as it is proposed to be updated. Specific, differences between the two maps are as follows:
1) Reduction of area in the southeastern portion of the AI:
a. Most notably used by Dalton Gardens Water Association east of Loch Haven PUD and north of East Prairie Avenue; and
b. East of Loch Haven PUD within the developed area of Hayden View Estates,
Honeysuckle Hills, and east of the dike along lower Hayden Lake Road.
2) Reduction of Area in the northwestern portion of the AI:
a. North of future West Wyoming Avenue and west of North Huetter Road in what is now the Shared Tier."
