Idaho State Representative Dale Hawkins expressing his opinion on HB 139. He noted that at the time Idaho statute was changed to give an exemption for schools and libraries, that the content passed around the committee today would have lead to arrests.
He noted that his local library has an adult only section and that HB 139 is asking all Idaho libraries and schools to do the same.
This bill was voted on by the House Education Committee to not go out of committee.
