Idaho Representative Crane talks about HB 139 - to keep porn in libraries out of the hands of minors.
He mentions that the Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that libraries need to keep obscene material away from minors. This protects the librarians from legal action.
The Idaho Family Policy Center also spoke on the bill. There is no first amendment right to distribute obscene material.
This bill was voted on by the House Education Committee to not go out of committee.
