Our investigative team has been researching the recent lawsuit brought by several publishers including Penguin Random House, Idaho residents, and the Donnelly Library.
The defendants are Idaho AG Raul Labrador, City of Eagle, Eagle Library and other local county prosecutors.
The lawsuit is an attempt to upend the Idaho Children's School and Library Protection Act (HB710/§18-1517B), passed last year allowing parents to challenge books currently located in the children's section and move them into a more appropriate section of the library, protecting them from harmful materials.
