Recently the Joint Finance Appropriations Committee (JFAC) passed a maintenance budget for the state of Idaho. Usually the Governor's office presents a budget and it is voted on. The portion of the budget to keep the state government functioning has passed. Then in the next few weeks the asks for increases from various state agencies will be discussed.
Guess who is not letting the maintenance budget leave the JFAC committee so that it can be voted on by the Idaho House and Senate? The leadership in the Idaho Senate.
Please join me in emailing and/or calling them to ask that the maintenance budget go out of committee so it can be voted on by the whole Idaho Senate.
