Here is a plan that the Post Falls School District had to have in place as a condition of receiving Esser and/or ARPA funds.
Things I’d like to highlight: 1) They had to describe how “funds will be used to implement prevention and mitigation strategies that are consistent with the most recent CDC prevention guidelines.”
2) Social Emotional Learning is mentioned on page 3 of the document. One of the curriculums mentioned called second step seems decent, until on digs deeper. Second Step was developed by the Committee for Children. The Committee for Children has a section on their webpage talking about social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Here is the direct link: https://www.cfchildren.org/.../diversity-equity-and.../
I have directly asked the Post Falls Superintendent if CRT is in their curriculum. She said no. I would have to disagree…
Join me in politely pointing this out: Superintendent: dnaccarato@sd273.com Board of Trustees: guy.mcaninch@sd273.com, michelle.lippert@sd273.com, bonnie.beaulieu@sd273.com, logan.creighton@sd273.com, jake.dawson@sd273.com
