Kootenai County Treasurer Matheson filed a complaint with the Idaho State Tax Commission regarding the Kootenai County Assessor Kovacs.
Recently, the Idaho State Tax Commission responded to the complaint.
"Fundamentally, the issues that Kootenai County have brought to the Tax Commission’s attention are matters of administrative and management discretion. It would not be appropriate for the Tax Commission to involve itself with these issues. The Tax Commission is willing to meet with County officials to discuss the Commission’s decision not to investigate these allegations and to discuss the ways the Commission can help the County going forward."
