"Someone asked, "Why is getting rid of DEI a good thing? What harm does it do to have DEI laws at the state level?"
Consider what it means to be "holy". To be holy literally means to be set apart. The God of the Bible, and Jesus Christ, call us to set ourselves "apart from the world" and "to God"— because the world is corrupt. As James elaborates, "You adulteresses! Do you not see that friendship [with] the world is hostility [with] God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world appoints himself an enemy of God." (James 4:4). In the end, the world and everything in it will be destroyed, which is why we need to be set apart from the world to be saved. We literally need to be set apart.
Now consider what would be the opposite of being holy. The opposite is that you do not separate yourself apart. In other words, you'd stand among the diverse. So the "D" in "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion", is effectively the antonym for being holy (when applied in moral terms). And the adversary of God, who we call Satan, is not surprisingly going to be promoting "Diversity" with precision because "anything and everything" a direct assault on "doing what you know to be right".
And so it is with DEI, as that movement is largely about accepting behaviors traditionally viewed as deviant. The proponents of DEI would at this point attempt to pivot to race as a tactic. This is a distraction. We're not talking about diversity of skin colors here, just like we're not talking about diversity of ice cream flavors. The Christian position on race is to not separate people out by race, as it is argued long ago, “There is not a man of Judah [a Jew], and not a man of Hellen [a Greek]. There is not a bond man, and not a free man. There is not male and female. For all you men are one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26). Therefore intersectional politics are also inherently opposed to the Christian standard of how people should see each other, as intersectional politics attempt to divide people up by race.
And finally, this is why promoting DEI through government is harmful. It is a veiled, but otherwise direct, assault on the fundamental morality which underpins American culture- and destroys the souls of human beings. It's Satanic.
We haven't even talked about so-called "equity" or "inclusion" yet. Do we really need to?"
